We are the Capybotas, a team based in Bloomington Minnesota. Our team is four seasons old; our rookie year was the season of 2022-23, Powerplay. Our team currently contains none of it's founding members.

Last season we qualified for states at our 1st tournament in Prior Lake, we placed 5th in qualifiers and we were the 4th alliance captain for playoffs, placing 3rd.  At our 2nd tournament in Otsego, we were ranked 1st and undefeated until playoffs, where we were the 1st alliance captain and placed 2nd overall. We were placed in the Nano division at the State Championship and placed 14th overall in qualifiers. We were chosen by the 6th place team, 33190 "The Bot-anists" for the 4th alliance in the playoffs.

As soon as the "pollen" game piece was revealed for this season, we got straight to work designing a chassie and intake that we thought might work for this Season's game. We cut the frame out of wood and used GoBuilda parts to assemble it.

After the game's reveal on September 12th, we now know that our concept was mostly accurate. We were correct in assuming that we would need to scoop objects off of the ground, but we did not account for the possibility that there could be two different sized game pieces. We now need to design an intake that will be able to use both pollen and nectar, which is what we will be doing at our first two meetings.
